Hi! I'm Joshua, the creator of Match Simulator.

This website was made as a hobby project in March of 2019. Since then, it has gotten a lot of interest from people all over the world. In December 2020 I found out that around 30K matches had been simulated, so I decided to take on the project again and try to make it even better.

If you like this project and want to contribute financially, that would be much appreciated! Any contribution helps me a lot and allows me to spend more time working on this project.

The hosting migration was successful! The website is live again.

We hope the migration also comes with some speed advantages, but we'll just have to see if that's the case. 

It is extremely important for you to reach out now if you encounter strange behaviour or slow pages et cetera. All should be well, but if not I hope to find out in time and try to fix it.

Hey, I've been wondering for a while how to add players on an already existing team. It would help me a ton if you told me. Thanks

a real team you mean? you make a mod, go in it then edit player, write player name then press submit at the bottom, and make sure to enable it after ur done

I activated the mods, but they're not working on quick matches, I can't use the teams. 

are you sure its on the exact season/version as the season ur simming on?

I only have 1 request, please add USL Championship teams! I'm a Detroit City fan and they aren't on here but I would love to play with them on this website

Joshua, Can you add one more update, it the champions league something is wrong because I cant put my team in the new champions league format I made custom teams and I want to put them on the champions league new format and also you cant create the format yourself so I just want you to make the update that it. Thank you for my this brillant game.

Is there a way to make a game be on a neutral ground in quick match? If not, can you pls make it an option?

How do I start a new knock out?

Pls Make so that we can dicade if we want to do a Ko round or not 

It would be nice if the group size could be bigger when you create a cup and "group and knockout". I am just able to have 4 teams in my group atm, but I would like more. I would also like to have more teams go through to the knockout from each group. For example, If I have a group with 6 teams in it, then it would be nice if maybe 4 teams went through to the knockout stages. 

 

I'm currently working on a mod, it includes all player of the months in FC25 and will include all 85+ TOTW's in the future, here's the link of it, it not ready yet though.

Where is Armenia man

A national team is added when a team has 8+ players. Armenia doesn't have 8+ players in FC25. That's why it isn't on MatchSim. However, you can make your own mod.

I can not be sure what the problem is. I think it would be best to go to the Discord (see the icon in the footer of the website) and ask for help there. Easiest would be to provide the url of the mod and screenshots of what you've done and where it's not working

Hi, why match simulator don't load? I want to download public mod or create your own but it's hang out

Three times per hour, a heavy cleanup is running which unfortunately affects the website. So that could be what you experienced. Another thing is that the public mods page was really slow, but that is fixed now.

When do you think that beta will be finished?

I really don't know, but I am aiming to finish it early in 2025

in a round robin

Depends on the amount of teams and the amount of times they play each other.

E.g. Premier League has 20 teams and play each other twice. Easy formula is 

(Amount of teams - 1) * play amount. 

So for PL that would be (20 - 1) * 2 = 38

Ok but mine is mls teams so what about that?

once every 20 min  on average

Yeah I see, that's because 5 times per hour a big cleanup is happening on the database. When that happens, the page might hang for a bit. Of course, this is something I will be working on but it's really hard to solve. I can at least see if we can make it less frequent

Will we ever able have a way to use the 2026 world cup format where 3rd place can go to similar to the euros

Yes, after BETA is finished the CL and EURO format will be added to be used in a custom way. And of course, the 2026 WC format will come in due time as well

Please make a mechanism that a nation be able to play when you add enough player for it

BETA development is ongoing, and until BETA is finished there will be no big updates to the regular website

Mods aren't working on quick play

Can you please add somthing that indicates if a player scores or misses a free kick please

My cups arent working properly. Whenever I try to import a modded team from my previous tournament, the squad is just empty with not a single player in it.

someone else had a similiar issue as yours, it might be a bug with the modded players getting putten into teams, i have already reported it to joshua
